1. PREP IS KEY!

Regardless of the type of coat you're about to clean, a pre-bath brushing is key. THE BRUSH has 2 perfect sides. Pins to detangle and release undercoat, and bristles to massage and stimulate skin. A bonus to adding this step is the calming and bonding that happens between you and your pup.

2. WHAT'S THAT YOU SAY?

Water in the ears is annoying and when lodged long term can cause pain and even infection. Easy prevention is popping a cotton ball into each ear before the bath. Don't push them in too far—just enough so they're snug. Happy rinsing!

3. THE BEST FOR LAST

The most stressful part of the bath for a dog can be the face and head. Makes "sense"--eyes, noses, ears--so many delicate spots.

That said, a great tip we learned from top groomers is to save that face and head for last. It'll keep the vibe calm and by the time you get to it your pup will be acclimated to the bath and you can really get in there with your washcloth. Oh yeah--and make sure to have a washcloth.
